Methow River
may morning walk- just another awesome day
FALL on the Methow River
Fall has peaked in Mazama and is moving its vibrant yellows and reds south towards Pateros. Familiar and pleasing leaf decay is thick in the air and that late afternoon sun is hot and golden. Every season brings us a visual feast and stays long enough for you to love it, get tired of it, and look forward to the next change. Reason #563 that I love living in the Methow Valley.
Methow Me Up! Floating on a HOT HOT July Day
You have a small window where the river is slow enough to float, but not too low. And the weather is hot enough for your feet and bottom to handle the glacially fed headwaters of the Methow. And I nailed it! No technical prowess or expensive gear needed. The river takes you as you are. Occasionally you may fall out of your raft or have to walk. This is why I live here!
Business As Usual- Nature NOT focusing on COVID
What a relief- just when you thought you would explode if you read one more thing about Covid-19, you look over the bridge and see that nature just doesn’t care. She is going about her change of seasons as she always has. I personally can’t wait to see each and every one of you back in this valley exploring and recreating and relaxing.
Hot River Cold Jump
Absolutely the best activity in July in the Methow Valley is floating the river. And jumping in the river is the best of the best. 6 hours passes in a flash leaving you slightly sunburned and completely at peace. Come and check it out. I can share my rope swing location with you if you are very nice.
